Twitch Sub Private Pages

Configuration of the Twitch Sub Private Pages plugin is more technical than some of our other plugins as it requires you to set up a Client ID and Client secret on dev.twitch.tv

Streamer ID

This is the User ID of Twitch channel for which you want to check the users subscription status. This is not the same as a Twitch username, but you can easily convert between Username and ID with our Twitch Username to ID tool.

Streamer Username

This is simply the Twitch username for which you want to check the users subscription status.

Client ID

This Twitch Client ID is required to establish a secure connection between your site and Twitch. Check out our full guide on how to setup a Client ID on Twitch.

Client Secret

This is generated in the same manner as the Client ID and is used to create a secure connection. Check out our full guide on how to setup a Client ID on Twitch.

Private Content

To start displaying your private content you have three options.

If you only need one private page, you can load content to the Private Content field on the settings page. This works fine for simple content. You are limited to a single wysiwyg text box.

If you only need one private page, but you want to use Gutenberg or a different page builder for a more complex private page, you can leave the Private Content field on the settings page blank. You should then check out our guide on Using page builders with Twitch Sub Private Pages.

If you need multiple private pages, you can leave the leave the Private Content field on the settings page blank. You should check out our guide on Using multiple pages with Twitch Sub Private Pages.

All you need to do in order to display your Login with Twitch button for users is to use our shortcode: [TwitchSubPrivatePages]

Place the shortcode in any of your pages like this.

And then configure the Twitch Sub Private Pages fields on the same page:

Set Activate Private Content to Yes. You will now see more options.

Subscription Plan

Choose between All Tiers, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 to lock this page down to specific Twitch subscription levels.

Content Select

Choose between Current Page, Settings Page and Custom Page. As this guide is setting up a basic private page, we want to select Settings Page.

And that's it! This page is now setup to display your Login with Twitch button. When a user clicks the buttons and Twitch verifies their subscription, they will gain access to the private content you placed in the Private Content field on the Settings page!

We have seperate guides on the other Content Select options.
